How to add a Link question

Link collects a URL such as a website, portfolio, LinkedIn, or booking page. Use it when you need a clickable address, not a free-text line that might omit https. People type or paste the link, and you can open it from Responses later.

1. Add it

In Build, click Add a question, then choose Link. See How to add questions.

2. On the form

The field is on the canvas. Question settings opens so you can write the prompt, add hint text, and mark it required.

3. What it is for

People type or paste a URL. Typical uses: company website, portfolio, LinkedIn, or a booking page.

4. Edit and require

Click the field to change the wording. Hover it to duplicate or delete. Required questions show a red asterisk. Optional ones do not.

If you only need a short label that is not a URL, use Short text instead.

5. Ask AI

In create a form with AI, describe the form and name this type. On a form you already have, open Chat to Edit (the pencil next to Add a question) and ask in a sentence.

Example:

Add a link question for their portfolio URL.

6. Read the draft

The helper replies with a Draft card. Each field shows its type. Check that Link is in the list. Click Create this form when you want it. Close if you were only trying a prompt. That does not add a form.
